Very few athletes are invited to a combine. Whether they are elite high school athletes vying for a college scholarship or standout college players looking to catch the eye of NFL scouts, only the best of the best get the chance to showcase their abilities in the unique environment of the combine, where a fraction of a second can make or break an athlete’s dream to play at the next level.

All-Pro Performance Training: An Insider’s Guide to Preparing for the Football Combine takes combine training to a whole new level by featuring a groundbreaking approach to movement training by one of the most sought after performance coaches in the country. As strength and conditioning coach of the NFL’s Denver Broncos, Loren Landow trains some of the most finely tuned athletes in the world. Prior to joining the Broncos, he founded Landow Performance, a sports performance training facility based in Denver, whose staff of strength and conditioning coaches has worked with hundreds of well-known athletes from the highest levels of sport (NFL, NCAA Division I, WNBA, MLB, NHL, UFC, Olympic Games). Landow knows what it takes to shine at a combine, and he shares his specialized knowledge in All-Pro Performance Training: An Insider’s Guide to Preparing for the Football Combine.

With a foreword by Christian McCaffrey, Carolina Panthers running back and Landow Performance client, the text breaks down the proper execution of combine staples such as the 40-yard dash and pro-agility shuttle. It offers tips for mastering position-specific agility drills, and it provides an inside look into how athletes at the highest level of the sport both train and recover.

Proven techniques for mastering position-specific agility drills will help players hone their biomechanical movement efficiency, reduce the risk of injury, and open scouts’ eyes. And Prep Like a Pro sidebars put you right on the field with the author, revealing the most advanced training regimens and technological tools used by elite coaches and athletes.

Equip your athletes to reach their full potential. With All-Pro Performance Training, strength and conditioning coaches, personal trainers, and motivated athletes have the definitive playbook for training with purpose, elevating their game, and performing at their peak at combine time.

CE exam available! For certified professionals, a companion continuing education exam can be completed after reading this book. The All-Pro Performance Training Online CE Exam may be purchased separately or as part of the All-Pro Performance Training With CE Exam package that includes both the book and the exam.

    Author

Loren Landow, head strength and conditioning coach of the Denver Broncos, is a movement and sports performance expert who is renowned for his ability to analyze and correct biomechanics. In his prior work, Landow has trained thousands of athletes of all ages and abilities, including over 700 professional athletes competing in the NFL, NHL, MLB, UFC, and WNBA, as well as Olympic medalists. He has worked with over 70 NFL all-pro athletes and over 20 NFL draft first-round selections.

A national and international presenter for leading organizations in the performance field, Landow has been a keynote speaker for the conferences of NSCA in the United States, the ASCA in Australia, SPRINZ in New Zealand, and the UKSCA in the United Kingdom. He serves as a consultant for the University of Colorado football team, MLB Texas Rangers, USA women’s national soccer team, and USA bobsled team. He is the author of two books, My Off-Season With the Denver Broncos: Building a Championship Team (While Nobody’s Watching) and Ultimate Conditioning for Martial Arts.

Coach Landow serves on the board of directors for the exercise science program at Metro State University as well as the board for the master’s program for Setanta College in Ireland. He is the sports performance director for Elite Sports University, an online education website. He developed the ACL prevention program and the ACL return-to-sport protocols for the Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Denver, Colorado. He is the owner and founder of Landow Performance in Centennial, Colorado.

Chris Jarmon, a graduate of Grinnell College, initially pursued a career in sports media. During college, he worked for NFL Films—first as an intern and then as a production assistant—and then interned at ESPN. After completing his studies at Grinnell in 2012, Chris joined ESPN full time as a content associate, traveling with ESPN’s television production crews to work on live broadcasts, including Monday night football, the NFL draft, the X Games, and the FIFA World Cup.

Although Chris enjoyed the thrill of covering exceptional athletes, he eventually realized his true passion was helping them develop. After deciding to change careers and enter the strength and conditioning field, he earned the NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) title, then quit his ESPN job the following spring to intern with University of Connecticut football strength and conditioning training program.

Continuing his quest for high-level coaching education and experience, Chris moved back to Colorado to volunteer with the University of Denver sports performance staff, where he assisted with training for all 17 varsity sports. He interned with Landow Performance in summer 2017 and joined their coaching staff at the end of his internship. Working with athletes and general population clients of various backgrounds, Chris helps individuals train for size, strength, power, speed, and movement skills.
