Active Body Beats Beginner Level DVD

Jumping into Physical Literacy

$9.99 CAD $19.95 CAD

DVD Video
$9.99 CAD

ISBN: 9780990077060

STOMP-style physical activity that will have your class creating beats and working together with non-competitive, team building tracks that will teach you how to use your body as a percussion instrument and enhance your physical literacy all while exercising your most important muscle—your heart.
Join Ollie Tumner (formerly of STOMP) and Anna Llombart as they warm you up and then teach you how to create new and exciting beats with your body.  The step by step instruction will have your class engaged and challenge their coordination and music sense while they learn new ways to create melodies with their bodies.
The no-prep-time videos start with a quick demonstration of the beat you will later learn, then Anna runs a short warm up to get the body moving and use to a new rhythm.  Ollie then takes over with methodical step-by-step instructions teaching the movements to create a new beat.  Once the beat is learned it is repeated in different ways and different speeds. Anna then cools down the students to get them ready to continue learning.
The beginner level DVD is made up of 4 videos with 4 unique beats that vary in physical intensity and movements. They are designed for ages 5 and up and can be repeated, as it will take most students multiple tries to master the beats.
Ideal for Daily Physical Activity (DPA) and/or indoor recess days.

Some of the benefits:
  • Learn about and enhance your physical literacy!
  • In class/home participation
  • Four 10-minute routines
  • Warm up and cool down included
