Knock out Post Concussive Syndrome with Positional Release Therapy
In this webinar, Drs. Tim Speicher and Regis Turocy, leading experts in the application of Positional Release Therapy (PRT) for treatment of post concussive syndrome, will discuss the principles and applications of PRT for treatment of post concussive syndrome. The presenters will discuss how and why PRT is helpful in the treatment of post concussive syndrome and will explain essential releases for treatment of this condition.

Timothy E. Speicher, PhD, ATC, LAT, CSCS
Dr. Speicher is president of the Positional Release Therapy Institute. He is considered a leading expert in positional release therapy (PRT). Speicher discovered and developed the fasciculatory response method (FRM), which has revolutionized the way PRT is applied, practiced, and taught. He established the Positional Release Therapy Institute to provide education on the FRM and PRT through the institute's courses while allowing for its application to a patient population at the institute in Ogden, Utah.
Speicher frequently speaks on PRT to professional organizations and at conferences, and his research has been published in academic journals. In 2014 he received the first-place award for outstanding manuscript on evidence-based concept mapping by the Athletic Training Education Journal, published by the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA). In 2013 he won the journal's first-place award for outstanding manuscript on case-based analogical reasoning.
Speicher, who has held several faculty and research appointments at various academic institutions, is a member of the NATA and was on the board of directors of NATA Research & Education Foundation. Currently, Speicher holds two faculty appointments: affiliate faculty for the University of Idaho, where he teaches neuroscience for the master's degree in athletic training program, and assistant professor at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, where he provides instruction in evidence-based medicine for the doctorate in health science.
Regis Turocy DHCE, MPT
Dr. Turocy received his bachelor of science degree from West Virginia University in 1970, his certificate in physical therapy from the University of Pittsburgh in 1971, a Master of Science degree in Orthopedic Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh in 1983, a Master of Arts in Health Care Ethics from Duquesne University in 1996, and his Doctorate in Health Care Ethics from Duquesne University in 2000. Dr. Turocy also has extensive experience in orthopedic physical therapy and alternative care approaches to physical therapy. Upon graduating from physical therapy school, Dr. Turocy was commissioned as a naval officer in the United States Navy Medical Service Corps., and after 21 years of distinguished service he retired in 1991. After retirement he served as a full time faculty member at Duquesne University School of Health Related Professions and the Graduate School of Physical Therapy Slippery Rock University. He taught extensively in the areas of orthopedic manual therapy, electrotherapeutic modalities, health care ethics, and complementary approaches to health care. Dr. Turocy has provided numerous educational presentations to certified athletic trainers at the local, regional, state, district and national levels emphasizing the clinical use of PositionalRelease, Neural Tension, and Muscle Energy Techniqiues. Dr. Turocy is presently evaluating and treating patients at Catholic Charities Free Health Care Clinic in Pittsburgh, PA., and he was recently ordained as a Deacon in the Anglican Church and will be investigating the relationship between spirituality and health care.
