- List the physiologic adaptions experienced by athletes when their body temperature rises to thermal strain.
- Summarize how cold water immersion has been proven to reduce thermal strain and fatigue for endurance exercise in hot, humid environments.
- Define kinesiophobia.
- List the biopsychosocial impairments that patients can develop following musculoskeletal injury, leading to kinesiophobia.
- Explain how effective application of Kinesio Tape may decrease kinesiophobia in patients with musculoskeletal pain.
- Describe the effectiveness of mouthguards in preventing concussion.
- Summarize the conclusions from the literature that investigates the protective effect of mouthguards on concussion rates in the sport of rugby.
- Describe the challenges that women athletic trainers face when providing medical care to male athletic teams within the collegiate setting.
- Explain the perceptions of female athletic trainers who provide medical care to male student-athletes within the collegiate setting.
