Fitness for Life is a program for K-12 physical education and personal fitness courses. Based on the latest research, Active Living Every Day (ALED) is a step-by-step behavior change program that helps individuals overcome their barriers to physical activity. ALED offers alternatives to more traditional, structured exercise programs. Participants choose their own activities and create their own plans based on their lifestyle and personal preferences, focusing on moderate-intensity activities that can be easily added to their daily routines. Healthy Eating Every Day will teach participants how to choose the proper balance of the right foods for optimal health, set realistic goals and rewards, and cope with triggers for unhealthy eating. They will also learn to consider unhealthy eating while shopping for food, eat well when dining out, and make sense of nutrition information - all without having to eliminate entire food groups or sacrifice meals.
